The term “Metaverse” derives from a combination of the word "Meta”, which means fictitious transcendence, and “universe”.
The rapid development of virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR) and increasing utilization of 5G communication technology has allowed Metaverse technology to emerge as a new paradigm that will lead the future era of the Internet.
In particular, conversion to a “contactless” life has accelerated after the outbreak of COVID-19 and lifestyles and industrial sites are rapidly adapting to this trend, changing beyond contactless to the Metaverse, three-dimensional virtual space.
"Metaverse Alliance”, an alliance between the public-private sector dedicated to vitalize the metaverse industry and ecosystem, will serve as the center for the <Metaverse Alliance Open Conference>.
The conference will serve as a forum for communicating the present and future of the Metaverse industry by sharing the latest information on the Metaverse industry and activities such as collaboration plans through autonomous project group formation of participating companies.
